What is the Cash Back Calculator?
This calculator shows how much cash back you earn on a purchase based on the amount and the cash back rate (e.g. from a credit card or rewards program). It gives you the cash back amount and your net cost (what you effectively pay after the reward). You can compare different rates to see how much more you’d earn with a higher-rate card.
Ключови понятия
Cash back rate
The percentage of your purchase that you get back as a reward. For example, 2% on $500 means $10 cash back.
Net cost
Effective amount you pay: purchase amount minus cash back. It’s the real cost after the reward is applied.
Rates by category
Many cards offer higher rates (e.g. 5%) on specific categories (groceries, gas). Use this calculator with the rate that applies to your purchase.
Как да използвате
- Enter the purchase amount (before tax if you prefer, or total—your choice).
- Enter the cash back rate your card or program pays for that purchase (e.g. 1.5, 2, 5).
- Click Calculate to see cash back, net cost, and the comparison table and charts.
- Use the comparison to see how much you’d earn at 1%%, 2%%, 3%%, 5%%, and 10%% on the same purchase.

Важни бележки
- Cash back is usually credited later (statement credit or payout). This calculator shows the amount you’ll earn, not instant discount.
- To maximize rewards, use the card that pays the highest rate for each category (e.g. 5%% on groceries, 2%% on everything else).
- Pay your balance in full to avoid interest; otherwise interest can outweigh cash back benefits.
