What is the Percent Off Calculator?

This calculator handles several percent-off scenarios: find the sale price from an original price and a discount %%; find the discount %% from original and sale price; find the original price from sale price and %%; apply multiple stacked discounts; or model buy-X-get-Y deals (e.g. buy 2 get 1 free). It shows what you pay, what you save, and includes comparison charts.

Modes

  • Sale price from % off: Enter original price and percent off to get sale price and savings. Compare at 10%%, 15%%, … 70%% off.
  • % off from two prices: Enter original and sale price to get the equivalent percent off and savings.
  • Original from sale + % off: Enter sale price and percent off to work out the original price.
  • Stacked discounts: Enter original price and a list of discount percents (e.g. 20, 10). Each discount applies to the previous result. See effective total %.
  • Buy X Get Y: Enter price per item, buy quantity, get quantity, and get discount %% (100 = free). See deal total and effective discount.

Важни бележки

  • Sale price = Original × (1 - %%/100). Original = Sale ÷ (1 - %%/100).
  • Stacked discounts: 20%% then 10%% is not 30%% off; the second 10%% applies to the already-reduced price.
  • Buy 2 Get 1 Free (100%%): you pay for 2 items and get 3; effective discount is 33.3%%.
