Guide d'utilisation complet

What is the Annuity Payout Calculator?

This calculator answers three questions: (1) Given a lump sum (principal), what periodic payment can I receive over a set term? (2) Given a periodic payment, what is its present value today? (3) Given a periodic payment, what will it grow to (future value) over time? You can choose monthly, quarterly, or annual payments and ordinary annuity or annuity due.

Types de calcul

  • Calculer le montant du paiement: Enter your starting principal, rate, years, and frequency. You get the payment per period and total received.
  • Calculer la valeur actuelle: Enter the periodic payment you will make, rate, years, and frequency. You get the equivalent lump sum (present value) today.
  • Calculer la valeur future: Enter the periodic payment you will invest, rate, years, and frequency. You get the future value and total interest earned.

Concepts clés

  • Rente ordinaire: Payments at the end of each period (most common for loans and bonds).
  • Rente due: Payments at the beginning of each period (e.g. rent, insurance).

Comment utiliser

Select the calculation type, then fill in the fields that apply (principal for payout; periodic payment for present/future value). Set annual interest rate, years, payment frequency, and annuity type. Click Calculate. The main result, summary cards, breakdown chart, and (for payout) payment schedule will update.

Understanding the Breakdown Chart

For payout: the chart shows principal vs. interest received. For present value: present value vs. interest component. For future value: total contributions vs. interest earned.

Remarques importantes

Interest rate is annual; the calculator converts it to a per-period rate. Years must be between 1 and 100. The payment schedule is shown only for the payout calculation (first 12 payments). This tool is for estimation; consult a financial professional for important decisions.

Tips

  • Use monthly frequency for monthly income planning; the result will be per month.
  • Compare ordinary vs. annuity due to see how payment timing affects the payout or value.
  • Try different years and rates to see how term and rate change your results.
