Guia do usuário completo

What is the Finance Calculator?

This calculator computes compound interest: how much an initial amount (principal) grows when invested at a fixed annual rate over a number of years. You see future value, total interest earned, and how balance grows year by year. Interest is reinvested each period, so you earn interest on interest.

Compound Interest Formula

The formula for future value with annual compounding:

FV = P × (1 + r)^t

FV = future value, P = principal, r = annual rate (as decimal, e.g. 0.05 for 5%), t = time in years

Exemplo:

$10,000 at 5% for 10 years: FV = 10000 × (1.05)^10 ≈ $16,289. Total interest ≈ $6,289.

Conceitos-chave

Principal

The initial amount you invest or deposit. Interest is earned on this amount and on previously earned interest (compound interest).

Compound interest

Interest is added to the balance each period, so you earn interest on interest. Over long periods this growth becomes substantial.

Interesse %

The percentage of your future value that came from interest (vs principal). Higher rate or longer time increases this share.

Como usar esta calculadora

  1. Enter the principal amount (e.g. 10000).
  2. Enter the annual interest rate as a percentage (e.g. 5 for 5%).
  3. Enter the time in years (e.g. 10).
  4. Click Calculate to see future value, breakdown chart, growth chart, and time-horizon comparison.
  5. Use the time-horizon table to compare different holding periods.

Future value

The total amount you will have after the given years, including principal and compounded interest.

Total interest

The amount earned from interest over the period (future value minus principal).

Interesse %

What share of the future value is interest. The rest is your original principal.

Time-horizon comparison

Shows future value and interest at 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years for the same principal and rate.

Principal vs Juros

A doughnut chart showing how much of the future value is your original principal versus interest earned.

Growth Over Time

A line chart showing your balance at the end of each year. You can see how compound interest accelerates growth over time.
