What is a Strong Password?

A strong password is long, random, and includes a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. It should be unique for each account and not contain personal information.

How to Use

  1. Set your desired password length
  2. Choose which character types to include
  3. Click Generate Passwords to see results and strength analysis
  4. Copy the password(s) you want to use
  5. Use Reset to clear and hide results

Password Length

  • Minimum: 8 characters (recommended)
  • Good: 12-16 characters
  • Strong: 20+ characters
  • Longer passwords are more secure

Character Types

  • Lowercase: a-z (26 characters)
  • Uppercase: A-Z (26 characters)
  • Numbers: 0-9 (10 characters)
  • Special: !@#$%^&*... (~30 characters)

Password Strength Levels

  • Weak: < 28 bits entropy
  • Fair: 28-40 bits entropy
  • Good: 40-60 bits entropy
  • Strong: 60-80 bits entropy
  • Very Strong: > 80 bits entropy

Security Tips

  • Use a unique password for each account
  • Don't share passwords with anyone
  • Use a password manager
  • Enable two-factor authentication
  • Change passwords regularly
  • Avoid dictionary words

Important Notes

  • Passwords are generated using cryptographically secure random number generator
  • Generated passwords are not stored or logged
  • At least one character type must be selected
  • Ambiguous characters can be excluded for readability
